I have whitish spots on my eyelids: what can I do?

These small whitish "bumps" that patients cannot drain on their own, unlike pustules, are milia (very superficial small cysts).

Where do these milia come from?

They can appear spontaneously on the face or as a result of overly rich skin care products that are not suited to the skin.

What can I do to eliminate these milia?

  1. Stop applying rich cosmetics
  2. If no cosmetics are being used, a gentle soap should be used daily
  3. If the suggested treatments do not work, CO2 laser can be used to drain the milia (small scabs that can be covered with makeup will be present at the end of the session and will last a few days).
